How to Get Your Team to Be More Like the Golden State Warriors
In sports, when a team starts playing their best at the end of the season and wins a championship, analysts talk about the team “peaking” at the right time. Now, a study of professional sports teams appears to explain why.
Northwestern University researchers recently concluded: “Analyzing statistical data from professional sports leagues and online games, the group has found that past shared success among team members improves their odds of winning future games — findings that have implications far beyond the sports arena, into business and even space research.”
How can you set up a system, where your team is winning together every single day? If you can do it, your odds of future success increase dramatically. Just ask Draymond Green of the Golden State Warriors about the confidence that comes from his team already having won together. “I know we have championship experience and we know how to win. We know things that need to be done in order to win championships. I trust that,” he said a month before the Oakland-based team won their third NBA title in four years.
The Exuberant Theatre Company’s program “The Daily Win” teaches improvisation focused on creating a victorious environment. The company will come to your site in-person or via teleconference on a monthly, weekly, or daily basis for as little as twelve minutes a day, 1 hour a week, or 4 hours a month.
Exuberants Company Artistic Director Sean A. Mulvihill says “ we can help each team become a self-starter with creative flair all their own.” He adds that “the improv sessions build accountability, heal rifts, improve cooperation, and increase morale.”
